Only IT-Engrs should communicate!!

Sometime back, I wrote about communication and how English mania spans all over India. Again I am not against the Language, but the way we address our problems elucidates that our system is crap. Anyone will accept learning comes easy & better at young age (below teenage) and our colleges are helping students (1st let me appreciate them they have realised a problem) Two things to note:

1. Leadership doesnot come just by communication and it comes by experience only. My point is looking at success and way of learning should change.
2. Why is it extended for only IT-Engr? are the other department students incapabale of going abroad? To prepare student globally would they teach French/Chinese too?
Lets see...

    Hi Baji

    English is a global Language.

Communication is a key point to become a leader. It is more than just directing the followers. It helps to have a good relationship between the leader and the followers. You will never get the purple heart hiding in a foxhole.A shy person can become a boss but not a good leader.Bossing is directing others and get the job done with out any concern to others.
A good leader must communicate and get the jobs done.

  2. The issue at hand is why do we hype IT and a special soft skill course specially for IT students...

re. leadership i don't deny what you have said there, but i still stand by statement that by experience you can know how and what to communicate.

So experience gains a better communication. From this it is true that communication is a key factor
to become a leader and not experience alone.

  4. Mr/Ms Anonymous - the issue at hand is something different; its about the attitude and unnecessary hype towards IT that strikes me...In a university if a service is provided, it need not be special to one department that would breed inferior views to other department students.

Communication is certainly key; btw to be a true leader communication alone is not the important factor - this argument reminds me of a story that every part of the body fighting to see as which part of the body is important for the existance of a human being. Leadership is something like that, you got to have many different qualities and communication alone cannot help...
